School Uniform

Our school uniform policy is based on the notion that a school uniform promotes a sense of pride in the school, looks smart, is practical and makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance.

The Morden Mount School uniform is a red sweatshirt or cardigan with or without the school logo on it, worn with a polo shirt (white) and dark trousers or skirts (black or grey). Girls may wear red gingham dresses. Shorts may be worn in the summer. Sensible footwear should be worn.

For PE the uniform is a white T-shirt, shorts and a pair of trainers. For outdoor PE sessions pupils should also wear a pair of blue tracksuit bottoms.

Pupils with pierced ears may wear stud-earrings to school (no hoops or dangling earrings).

For safety reasons:

  • children must not wear rings to school.

  • long hair is to be tied back.

  • shoes should be sensible for both learning and play time and should be black. Strapless shoes, flip-flops or shoes with high heels are not allowed.

Children must not wear make-up or nail polish.

If pupils are wearing wellington boots to school then these must be changed before the start of the day.  The only exception to this is for Reception pupils who are visiting Forest School.

Bailwood Fashions Ltd is Morden Mount's school uniform supplier and is an established uniform supplier based in South London.
