Diary of events
Dear parents/carers,
It was with great delight that we welcomed our children back to school on Wednesday 3rd September 2025!
I welcome all our families returning for a new academic year and extend a warm welcome to the families who are new to our school.
Settling in has been seamless and tranquil. Discussions are already going on in classrooms about class rules and relationships, behaviour and kindness. A silent but joyful buzz reigned over the school as I walked round to see the children. In year 2, the pupils were busy plotting their birthdays and that of their friends on the class calendar, whilst in year 1 the pupils doted kindly over the new pupils in their classrooms.
Attendance and punctuality
You may have seen on the news that school attendance is really important, as this ensures children thrive in their learning. The government are reminding families and schools that good attendance in the first week of term is really important.
School starts at 8.55am. Our school gates open at 8.40am and our children must be in the playground by 8.50am. Children who arrive in the classroom after 8.55am will get a late mark (L); children who arrive after 9.30am will get an unauthorised absence mark (U).
Settling in coffee morning
As a school, we understand how the beginning of a new academic year can be filled with anxiety, so we have scheduled our ‘Settling in Coffee morning meetings’ with teachers to take place next week, giving you the opportunity, once again, to meet with your child’s teacher and to hear how they have started the year. This session will also give you the opportunity to discuss any queries you may have, including insights into how you can further support your child at home.
Our coffee mornings will take place at 9am in the Main Hall on the following dates:
Tuesday 9th September years 3 & 4
Wednesday 10th September years 5 & 6
Friday 12th September years 1 & 2
I look forward to seeing you at the coffee morning meetings!
Regards
Mrs Okhani,
Head of School
